VIA’s Sequencing solution allow suppliers to synchronize plant operations with demand forecasts generated by their customers’ ERP systems. It helps suppliers transition to more cost-effective, real-time scheduling and build-to-order activities. And once a customer’s sequencing broadcasts are translated to the plant floor, BOMs are automatically validated and ensured so that each part is built and routed in the correct order.
Once a part is built and routed, VIA’s Sequencing then ensures that parts are packed in sequence and shipped to the appropriate customer for just-in-time consumption.

The sequenced process is straightforward and easy to manage, and includes:
Data input – VIA’s Sequencing can handle a variety of data formats while loading them through a common interface.
Validation – A broadcast is then organized for a series of error proofing messages and comprehensively validated. If errors are found the process is stopped.
Build-to-order – A build sheet or visual instructions are generated and the sequence work-in-process is easily managed. All collected data is associated to a serial part number. If nonconformance is noticed, a new order will be created.
Pick and Pack – The software will prevent mistakes by ensuring the correct part is packed in the correct sequence. Accurate labels are automatically generated and printed and operators can scan the label to further insure accuracy. That label data will then be passed on to an ERP system.
Shipping – The shipping process is coordinated to best meet customer needs as finished products are validated. |
