Sequencing Training

Instructor-led Classroom Learning.
(Rochester, Mich.)

While the primary assembly of vehicles takes place at an OEM facility, many of its sub-assembly routines are being completed by suppliers. In order to build these vehicles in the most efficient manner, the OEM’s require the suppliers to build and ship the sub-assemblies according to specific requirements and in the order that they will eventually be built at the OEM facility.

Students will become well versed in MAN-IT® terminology as well as navigation within the system. They will gain a good understanding of how to create Models, Cells, Lines, Routing, and Bills of Materials in the system. Students will also be introduced to Atoms, Events, and Mapping.

The term “sequencing” refers to the customer requirement that parts be shipped from suppliers to the OEM in the same order as the vehicles that are being built.

The agenda for this class will cover:

  • Understand Sequencing concepts.
  • Understand the table structure used for Sequencing.
  • Comprehend Customer Demand and how it’s communicated to the system
  • Navigate the Sequencing functionality in the system
  • Understand what data must exist in the system for sequencing
  • Be able to write a Map that handles a sequenced process
  • Understand the concept and need for JOBS
  • Be able to create Maps that Create Jobs, Get Jobs, and can Rebuild a Job
